Heading north? Don’t leave it in the closet.
Every March and April, Yuma empties out and a lot of perfectly good clothing gets left in park model closets, stuffed in storage, or dropped in a bin on the way out of town. There’s a better option and it takes about ten minutes.
If you winter here, you already know the drill. Sometime in March the conversation starts about what’s coming north, what’s staying, and what you’re honestly never going to wear again. Then the departure date gets close and it all becomes somebody’s problem at eleven at night.
Clothing is the category that always loses that argument. It’s heavy, it takes up the space you’d rather use for something else, and half of it has been hanging in the same park model closet for four seasons.

Going home for the summer
You’re coming back in November, but the closet is full of things you didn’t wear this season and won’t wear next one. Clear it before you leave rather than storing it through a Yuma summer.
Selling the park model or the lot
Buyers want it empty, and you’re on a closing date. Clothing is the fastest category to deal with and one of the few that pays you rather than costing you.
Last season
Health, family, or the drive has just got too long. Whole-household downsizing, often under time pressure and often not by choice. We handle these gently and at your pace. More on that here.
Clearing a parent’s place
You’ve flown in for a week to empty a unit and fly home again. Photos on Monday, pickup by Wednesday, done before your flight.
Why not just have a patio sale?
You can, and plenty of parks run community sale days that work well — ask your activity director. But March and April are awkward timing: buyer traffic is already thinning because the people who’d normally shop your sale are packing up too. You end up sitting out for two mornings and still carrying most of it back inside.
A sale also costs you the last week of the season, which is usually the week you least want to spend sitting in a carport with a cash box.

Free pickup anywhere in Yuma and the Foothills, including inside the parks. Cash in hand, we carry it out, ten minutes at the door.
Worth knowing about park rules: most Yuma RV and park model communities have their own policies on sales, signs and visitors. We’re only ever coming to your space at your invitation for a few minutes, which is a different thing to running a sale — but if your park needs a heads-up at the gate, tell us and we’ll work with it.

More than people expect. Winter visitors bring good outerwear they barely use in Yuma, and a lot of resort and casual wear that sells well. Specifically worth photographing:

- Anything genuinely old

Timing
March and early April is the window. Later than that and half the park is already gone, roads are busy with departures, and you’re trying to do it in the last forty-eight hours. If you know your date, text us a couple of weeks out and we’ll put you in before the rush.
